OUR STORY
A Rancher Legacy, A Family Dream
Cathy and Ace opened Navasota Ranch in 2025 to share the experiences that shaped our family. Cathy grew up on her father's ranch — Gale, a longtime Oklahoma and Texas rancher and farmer who passed in 2023 — and this ranch carries his legacy forward. Cathy is a retired speech pathologist who spent her career supporting hundreds of children and training fellow professionals. Ace is a retired engineer who spent decades in the oil, gas, and energy industries.
We chose miniature Highland cattle because they're calm, curious, and welcoming — perfect for guests of all ages to meet, photograph, and interact with. Two miniature horses will be joining the herd soon. Our 70 acres are run with help from part-time Texas A&M students, keeping us closely connected to the next generation of Texas agriculture.
Both of us serve on the Houston Rodeo's Ag Education Committee, and Cathy completed Texas A&M's program for the next generation of agricultural owners. We have three grown children and seven grandchildren nearby — and we'd love to welcome you to the ranch next.
